CONTENTS/NOTES (continue on back):
1. Jin - b/c of traditional gender roles where women stayed at home, many women continue embroidery / quilting as a remembrance for their mother's care of them
2. also like to quilt b/c they can make something new out of old materials
3. all of Jin's work is made of leftover materials and she feels this reusing method is catching on on a global level 
4. uses purse silk and hemp only for patchwork/quilting says Jin: does not use any cotton
5. in Korean clothing, use bright colors - often these patchwork/quilts are for special occasions or weddings so they save bright scraps for big events which why its often lots of color
