States that he is satisfied Mrs. Dunn is rightfully entitled to the property & begs attention to the case that justice may be done. |

Vol 5.| New York Sept. 21st 1869 acknowleges receipt of claim of Augt 10th up his arrival in New Yorl. and feels deeply disappointed of the u=inability of the Comm to give him an appt. in the Bureau. States that his means are very limited and asks the Comm to use his influence in forming some kind of osition or as the Miss. Elections are about to come off.  he would accept an office with the Board of Registration. Encloses letters from Genl E Hatch. W. T. [[Turner or Swain?] & an Eug. Bankg [[desire ?]] Requests enclosures returned.
