Submits petition in which she states that she is being fraudulently deprived of her rights to a certain described piece of property in Essex Co. Va. to which she is the rightful heir. That the land was purchased from one Thos Pitts (deceased) by her mother Milly Pitts (also deceased) and that said Thos Pitts heirs have taken forcible possession of said property. |

States that one Bassil (colored) former slave of W.W. Hall was kidnapped by Hall and said carried to Anne Arundel Co. Md. where he is now held in bondage. |

| Sept 11th #85. | Hamilton John G. Supt A.M.A. Schools Lexington Ky Sept 21 Referred to Col Runkle for remarks.  | Berea Ky. Sept 4th 1869. For the benefit of the large number of colored children in Lexington, earnestly requests the Comr to grant the the recommendation of Col Runkle and Chur to erect a suitable school building at that a place.  States that the schools of the A.M.A. will have to be discontinued for want of a larger building. This request is concurred by Messrs Fairchild Prs Berea College J A Rogers and John G. Fee |
