Sir,
Your Communication of the 25" inst has been received, and I am directed by the Asst Commr. to say in reply, that the parties mentioned, are mistaken in supposing that the Act of the last Legislature, entitled "an act to define and regulate Court Contracts and prescribe the manner of enforcing the same in the County Court," permits them to file contracts, sanctioned by the Bureau, in these Courts, thereby making them Court Contracts, which they are not. 

The Act referred to is only applicable in cases where contracts have been made within the jurisdiction, and by the sanction of the Civil Courts, Neither can it be considered as affecting, in the least degree, Contracts heretofore made and approved by this Bureau. These contracts can be made "Court Contracts" by taking them, with all the parties thereto, before the Judge of the County Court, and there complying
