Besides, the Governor pledges the free use of the State Rail Road in making the distribution and said he can aid me to get provisions brought, for this purpose over the Western Rail Roads to Chattanooga for one half fare, as he succeeded in doing when he made the purchase of Corn for the State. Should you decide upon the latter course please inform me of the amount of money that can be thus expended, and place the same at the disposal of my Chief A.Q.M.
