In accordance with instructions contained in Circular letter from the office of the Asst. Comir, of date October 21st, 1868; I have the honor to submit the following report of those murders and assault with intent to kill, committed upon the freedpeople in this Sub District, from January 1st, 1868, to October 31st, 1868, which have been brought to the notice of the Agents of this Bureau.

This report is composed from those of agents Ch. Raushenberg, W. C. Morrill, Andrew B. Clark, and Geo. R. Ballou, and given the names of the freedpeople murdered or assaulted with intent to kill, the nature and extent of the injuries inflicted, the cause of the assault when known, the names and color of
