87. Wm. T. Lowell, buckshot wound in the hand and four scalp wounds, by being beaten on the hand with guns.
The names of a great many wounded persons could not be ascertained by this Bureau.
The perpetrators of these acts were James Johns, W.P. Toove, Sheriff of Mitchell Co. Adam Bullet & others all white, Cause a determination on their part to prevent a republican meeting at Camilla and punish the parties who would make an effort to do so.
No action taken by civil authorities as far as known.

88. September 20th in Schley Co. Robert Wiggins was nearly beaten to death, by unknown parties disguised and dressed in white sheets, who came to his house after night. No action by civil authorities.

89. September 20th in Schley Co. Henry Davis was shot at five times by unknown parties, disguised and dressed in white sheets, who came to his house after night; no action by civil authorities.

90. Sept 20th in Schley Co. Peter Smith was nearly beaten to death, by unknown parties disguised, and dressed in white sheets, who came to his house after night. No action by civil authorities.

91. September 26th in Sumter Co. Alfred was brutally beaten and shot at by Janus Murray white. The Grand Jury refused to find a bill.
