bone, in a quarrell about some work, by Ch. Stanly white. No arrest; assailant at large in Randolph Co.

112. September - ? in Early Co. W.T. Walker an unusually intelligent & exemplary freedman & a republican was killed by shots through his chest by unknown white men, who came to the house of Charles Friar (col'd) where Walker was staying and demanded him to surrender to them. They took from the house that night, was found dead next morning. No arrest. Reward offered of $5000 00/00 for the apprehension of the murderer by the Governor of Georgia.
