E. R. Lorrain, Esq.,
Canaan, Ct.

Dear Sir:--

After having given more thought to the proposed additions to the log cabin, I have finally decided not to undertake the building thereof until another year, as I dislike to go ahead with that sort of work without more personal attention than I can give it this year. I am going abroad on Saturday next, but will be at my farm near Sheffield on the afternoon of Wednesday, the 15th instant and during the forenoon of Thursday, the 16th instant. If convenient to you, I would like to see you at the farm during either Wednesday afternoon or Thursday forenoon.

Yours very truly,
Charles L. Freer
