William Carson, Esq.,
Sheffield, Mass.
Dear Sir:--
I have recently returned home, and take advantage of the present opportunity to write you, to inquire how you are, and also how matters are going on my farm. Has Lorrain built the shed for the paddock? Is the building of the stone wall on the east side of the highway in progress? Are the cattle and horses all right. What sort of crops do you expect to have? Let me hear from you.
As soon as the weather cools off, I shall go to Sheffield, and spend two or three days there.
Yours truly,
Charles L. Freer
