Dear Stanford:--

Your recent letter is received, and I take very much pleasure indeed in handing you herewith enclosed check on New York, payable to your order for $215.00, which price seems to me much nearer to the cost of the frame than the other sum mentioned. In any event, it is entirely satisfactory to me, and I want to again thank you for your goodness in the matter. 

I expect to be in New York sometime during the latter part of this month, and will then look you up.

Dewing is spending a few days with me, and to-morrow we are going to try our luck at black bass fishing.
