1486 Hokusai's Mangwa, a fine copy of this, the most important work of Hokusai, complete in 14 vols. octavo, first edition, in old four flap tie-up case, 12 guineas 

This wonderful series of drawings depicting the whole life of the people, figures of gods, landscapes, plants, birds, flowers, etc., began to be published in 1812 and continued through succeeding years until 1849, the date of Hokusai's death, the last volume being published after his death, in 1875.
