For this amount, being the valueof two pieces of pottery purchased from Bunkio Martsuki, as per voucher 54 November, 1900, and returned to him on April 23rd, 1901, said pieces being imitations.

Cat. No. 773, B. M. Inv. #1070. One round Water Jar, Kensan Raku. Satsuma pink color; bold decorations of water and flowers in white with yellowish olive markings. Height 8". Inscription on bottom according to favorite design:

"Hokyo - Korin. Kenzan-Shinsho copy"
"Mr. Ikeda bought this in 1892 from Lord of Okayama"

Cat. No. 777, B. M. Inv. #1068. One round Iris Water Jar, Kenzan. Greenish and brown tones; iris in white all around the jar, also a foot bridge indicated. Two small handles. Height 8 1/4"
"Old Mr. Ikeda purchased it from Lord of Okayama about 15 years ago. He considered it the most wonderful Kenzan he ever obtained"
