Poetry  cream white with decorations of camelias and poetry  Height 5 1/4 in
white powder (face of Japanese day)
used by court ladies 
is clear as snow and blossom enclosed.
(This is literal translation Kenzan used only one verse out of four stanzas relating cameria - Japanica  which is decorated on this Incense Bronze.)
Signed Kenzan Shinsho  40.- √
purchased from Mr Fukuta of Kioto 1898 & left at Shozan (great patte of Kioto) Kioto till this year at his request.

Name of the Tea Jar is Kai-Getsu or 'moon in pocket'

Fan that is compared to the moon
crept under cloud
May teach wind, who is tirdy to blow to shift along.
Since this tea jar has fan shape opening under the cover compard as a fan in one's pocket
This tea jar is attributed to one of those patterns made by the order of Kayetsu at Iga  60.- √
