Dear Mr. Freer,
your Kind note of March 10th reached New York while I was away for a lecture trip in Washington.  Returning last evening I found it, and the enclosed check for $2500, for which I herewith sign and return the receipt.
Since you may have left Detroit when this arrives, I will direct to your office. I am glad to know that I shall see you here next month.
