A case of murder which occurred at Tibbee Station, Miss. has also been reported. the particulars of which have been forwarded to your Office.

No cases of utter destitution have been reported during the month.

The Schools have all reported. School known as Freedman's Institute which was reported in last report as being permently closed, has been reopened, but is now taught by different parties -

Complaints that are now referred to this Office consist principally of threatening violence, driving off from plantation, desertion of husband and wife, detaining property and children, assault and battery. All such cases referred
