I have the honor to make the following statements in regard to a colored child named Washington Bunting, son of Somby  Bunting (freedman) who has been in the employment of one William Gibson ever since the surrender, and has been detained on his place and not allowed to leave with its Father.
William Gibson lives on a plantation about 31 miles from Bridgeville on the Pickensville Road Pickens Co. Ala - 
I would respectfully request that Mr. Gibson be required to send the colored child (Washington Bunting) to this office -
