#915 Union Trust Building,
Detroit, Michigan,
January 7th, 1904.

My dear Mr. Russel:--
I have your kind letter of the 6th instant, enclosing your check for $750.00, in payment of interest on your promissory notes for $15,000.00, to December 31st, 1903, at 5%.
In thanking you for the remittance, let me add that the rate of interest, 5%, is entirely satisfactory; and the loan itself has afforded me pleasure.
Wishing for you and yours a full share of the blessings of the year, I remain,
Always sincerely your friend,
Charles L. Freer
