My dear Mr. Bing:--

Your kind letter of December 25th, together with proof sheets from the Gillot Catalogue showing the wood panels, are duly received.

Thank you very much for your kindness. I am looking forward with pleasure to the receipt of the complete catalogue.

I had hoped to be in Paris during the time of the sale, but a rather severe illness has been with me during the last three weeks, and I haven't the courage to cross the Atlantic during this severe winter weather. I shall, however, take pleasure in requesting you to represent me at the sale, and after the receipt of the final catalogue, I shall write you more fully.

With all good wishes for health and happiness during the coming year, I remain, dear Mr. Bing,

Yours very sincerely,
Charles L. Freer

S. Bing, Esq.,

PARIS.
