Ira H. Late Bvt Maj U.S. Vols,

[[Strikethrough]] appointed and [[/Strikethrough]] Mr Ira H Evans, (Bvt Maj, U.S.V ) is hereby appointed an Agent of the Bureau of Refugees, Freedmen, and Abandoned Lands, in this State, at a Salary of One hundred Dollars per month.
This appointment is made subject to the approval for Maj Genl O.O. Howard Com. and in accordance with the provisions of "an Act. to continue in for the Bureau" passed July 16, 1866, and will take effect from this date, and remain in force until revoked by orders from this office
