Sir,
You will upon your arrival at Mount Pleasant confer with the Commanding officer of that post as to the aid you may require &c.
You will then proceed quietly and quickly to Clarksville Red River County, ascertain the whereabouts of the criminals mentioned in the enclosed reports, and others who have escaped the civil law: consulting with Judge Satimer S.A.C. &c who will procure you proper guides.
You will then arrest all those offenders, resorting to extreme measures if necessary.
You will at no time desist until all these men in Red River, Lamar and Briscoe Counties are apprehended. Should it be necessary to follow them any distance you will do so. You will call upon the civil for aid and upon the citizens if necessary. When arrested, they will be confined in jail under guard.
