In reply to your communication of the 17 inst. asking what steps have been taken to obtain the signature of the soldiers to the vouchers for commutation, I have the honor to state that the letter was on the 11 June referred to Bt. Lt. Col. Pease but no reply has been received at this Office.
Your letter of the 17 is also referred to him this day calling for a report.
