I have the honor to inclose herewith vouchers for commutation of rations for Corp'l George I Smitzner Co. "D" 17 Infty, and Private Jacob Arnsom Co. "C" 17 Inf., for the month of January, 1868, at that time on duty with Wm. H. Rock Sub Asst. Com, at Richmond, Texas. 

I would request that the check for the payment of the voucher be drawn to the order of Wm.H. Rock and sent through this office.
