I have the honor to acknowledge receipt of your communications dated the 13th and 14th inst and am directed by General Reynolds to say that all cases you may have before you for trial will be transferred to Civil authorities.

Troops cannot be sent to Bastrop.

Sir:
Pursuant to instructions conveyed in Circular No. 10, from the War. Dept. Bureau of R.F. & A.L. dated Washington, Nov. 17, 1868, you will at once cause to be sold at Public Auction, the property for which you are responsible, as shown on your Return Stores for the month of November 1868.

The proceeds of the sale will be accounted for to the Disbursing Officer of this District, who will furnish you with Blank forms for this purpose.
