General:
I have the honor to state that a letter of Mr. O.A. McGinnis, dated Sumpter, Texas, June 10, 1868, regarding a claim against this Bureau, was forwarded to your office on the 19th day of December, 1868, recommending that authority be granted to pay him $120 which he advanced Mr. H.S. Johnson, a discharged Bureau Agent.
No reply has been received to the above mentioned communication up to this date.
