General:
I have the honor to inclose herewith copies of papers relative to the sale of C.S. property in Anderson Co., Texas, which were forwarded to you Dec. 10 & 11. 1868. As the mails of those days for the North via New Orleans, La., were lost it is thought the original papers have not reached their destination. 

The papers relative to the sale of property at San Antonio and Tyler, Texas, were forwarded at the same time, copies of which will be furnished as soon as copies of the last deeds can be procured.
