Head Quarters Post of Marshall
Marshall Texas June 9 1866.

I certify on honor that I was present on the 7th day of June 1866, where Lieut I. M. Beebe V.R.C. Sub. Asst. Comr. Bureau R.F. and A.L. Marshall Texas, informed Mr. John M. Henderson Clerk of the District Court of Harrison county Texas that he felt it his duty to fine him, Mr. Henderson $100 (one hundred dollars), for writing the letter without specifying how it should be paid.
