Sir,
These was turned
over to me by Mr A. W. Sperry Lot No 10 and 11
situated on the east side of Elizabeth in the
city of Brownsville.
These lots were taken possession of by Mr Sperry
as the abandoned property of Mr F. Latham.
There was a gentleman came to me and represented
himself as an agent for a lady in San Antonio
"and states" that these lots dose not belong to
Mr Latham that the may it came to be
known as his property was that he had
bought it of this lady previous to the Rebellion
but had never paid for it and he states that
he is going to contest Mr Lathams right to
the property. And he wishes me to restore the property
the this lady. But I have seen nothing the
