Ellic Milsted being sworn testafies as follows - I left the ranch Zacatal about the last of December 1865 in company with my Mother (Anny Milsted) and abram Milsted My father to go to Sabine Pass Texas.  I drove the Buggy from the ranch to Brownsville containing abram Milsted and anny Milsted and family they remained there about a month and I returned to the ranch to get some cattle and drive them to Brownsville and sell them for abram Milsted.  after that I in company with my father and Mother and their family proceeded to whites ranch where abram Milsted (my father) was taken sick and died.  At the time of his death I saw abram Milsed give the key of the trunk containing his money to George Milsted and he said that he (George Milsted) must give to me (Ellic Milsted) two hundred dollars and the remainder [[strikethrough]] must [[/strikethrough]] to be divided equally between Anny Milsted and himself (George Milsted. And that he (George Milsted) must be Guardian over my mother and her children [[strikethrough]] children [[/strikethrough]] and do what was right with her.  subsequently abram Milsted died and George Milsted and his wife and family went to Brazas Santiago and myself and mother and the rest of the children came back to Brownsville.  I brought back from whites ranch one trunk and three mules, and one
