Colonel J. M. Glover Staff he comdg 2nd Brig C.D. during the engagement at Little Rock Ark which resulted in the capture of the place I accompanied the expedition under Genl Fred Steel to Camden Ark. as Acting Ord. Off. 2nd Brig and A.D.C. of same in addition to my duties Ord. Off.

I accompanied my regiment on Veteran furlough acted as A.Q.M. for Vt until reorganized was with my Reg in the field under Genl Rosencrans against Genl Sterling Price's raid in Mo. after my Regt. was organised at Little Rock Ark I was detached as A.A.Q.M. 2nd Brig C.D. Genl Bussey Comdg was released to accompany expedition as A.A.Q.M. of Cavalry Div commanded by Genl E. A. Carr, returned to Pine Bluff Rgt was ordered to Memphis. I was then detached as A.A.A.G. of Country Divission (Nine Thousand) under Comd of Bvt Brig. Genl E. D. Oshand when he was relieved by Genl. Benj. Roberts. I was retained on his (Genl Roberts) Staff as Ord. Off his son Act. Asst. served on his staff as A.D.C. & A.A.Q.M. was relieved joined my Regiment at Hampstead Texas was mustered out with my regiment at Austin Tex with a view to payment without returning to state, have been residing in the city of Galveston since Feb. 1866.
