state that after Capt. D.D. and H.W. Waters were ejected from this plantation by J.D. Waters the latter and his agent have discharged several freedmen without paying them claiming that D.D. and H.W. Waters had to pay them for their labor, although J.D. Waters is in possession of the plantation and the crops, further that the freedmen have to work at present during the night, but no extra wages are being paid them, and the agent has refused to make any contract.  Col. Waters has refused to recognize our claims, and will not pay us for the time we have labored pryor to the time when he took possession of the place.  We desire the Freedmen Bureau according to our contract, now take possession of the crop and see us paid
