To The Collector of Customs, Galveston.
Sir. The bearer Mrs. Mary Duffy is the mother of four children, her husband lays sick in San-Antonio she wishes to go to him and has not the means to pay her fare there. She is only a short time in America. If it lays in your power to do anything that will forward her to her destination she would feel ever grateful to you for exerting yourself in her behalf.
