Respectfully returned. The military commission which was trying B.B. Lee was adjourned sine die by Order of the Dept Commander and Lee was ordered to be turned over to the civil authorities. He was placed in the custody of a Sheriff who took him before a civil magistrate at Hempstead. No one appearing for the state and no affidavits being made against him he was discharged by the magistrate unconditionally.
