In the Matter of Justice vs B. F. Harper this day investigated - Mr Harpers denies the allegations of Justice and Thereupon Nelson is Sworn. Who on oath Says. that Mr Harper furnished Every Thing he agreed to furnish as Set forth in the Contract herewith Sent. Which contract explains itself 

Witness Says. he made 15 B/c. average Size - does not know the weight. Says that he proposed to give Mr Harper (before the crop was gathered) 12 B/c for his (Harpers) Share. and did do so. That after the crop was gathered and the cotton weighed he was dissatisfied. So Mr Harper gave him back. 5 B/c and this 5 B/c he gave to Mr Harper in payment of Mr. Harpers act for meat, cloth, and Orders to the Store,  Does not know the value of the Cotton nor the amount of Mr Harpers account. Knows he made 15 B/c and that he settled with Mr Harper, giving him all the Cotton and he Still owes Mr. Harper 174.00 or thereabouts_ He gave his Corn Crop [[strikethrough]] for [[/strikethrough]] to Mr Harper for a pistol 17., and for a gun $60, Does not know whether the Corn paid for the gun and pistol or not. Mr Harper never induced him to believe he would make 25 or 30 B/cs. He himself thought so. He & Mr Harper read back all the horse trading. What he owes Mr. Harper for
