Mr Harper told Nelson that he did not know whether he ought to take it or not, for he had been sick and had not seen the crop since June. The Freedman said he would make at least 30 B/c. Will said Mr Harper [[strikethrough]] said [[/strikethrough]] will go it Nelson and if you do all right, all over 12 B/c is yours, and if you do, I wont charge you any toll for ginning, but recollect if you make only 15 B/c you will have only 3 B/c, and if you make 30 you will have 18 B/c. Before the cotton was ginned Nelson got dissatisfied with the trade and told witness that Mr Harper had let him off with one Bale, afterwards with another and afterwards with still another making in all 3 B/c knocked off of the 12, Witness was present when the Horse trading was made and recanted. Nelson told Mr Harper that he ought to give him back one Bale or give up his note for 100.00 given in a horse swap to boot [[strikethrough]] Mr H [[/strikethrough]] because Mr Harper had got the best of the cotton trade. Mr Harper gave up the 100$ note and End the horse swap. Nelson states to witness that if he had picked out all the Cotton he would have made more than Mr. Harper. Witness says that he thinks Nelson could have picked out all of the cotton if they had tried. The cattle took to the field about Christmass
