Dear Sir -

There has been several murders committed in this state in counties adjoining Houston Co. Parties call upon me for to arrest suspicious characters who come here with more money than could be got honestly, but when I call for horses to mount my men, who come forward willingly I can not get them. I therefore respectfully request to be furnished with (Ten) 10 mounted men, U S Soldiers, otherwise it is impossible for me to make the arrest of parties.

I am Lt
Yours Respectfully
