Knowing that officers of the Bureau are frequently changed and ordered to other stations, it is perhaps possible that the officer in charge of the Bureau at Columbus might be ordered to an other station, the more as he has been on duty there about a year; and in this case I would most urgently request that I may be appointed by the Major General comdg. for this position.
