As much as a bottle of ink, and all the while a disaffected community forming and saying around me. I have to maintain a hospital and boarding house for all who has as yet come under my cognizance, together with them portation for the sick and helpless, and all entirely all out of any own pocket, no depot or post commissary to furnish me even a cracker. What I ask of you general, is to examine my estimates, add to them if you can, and finish them if you must, but in any case let me know the worst.

I have had a half promise of a sufficiency of Blank forms, such as are used in the quartermasters department, the I get them I will forward brochures covering everything.

I enclose a few documents that you will please read and return to me.

My next monthly report will be somewhat different from the last. There is a great effort being made to have me dismissed, the exact shape of it I know not, but there has as yet been no attempt to appeal from any decision of mine.

My office is in full blast, but am not as efficient as I would wish, having only seven men --- and no means at all.

Respectfully,
M. Longworth

Brig Gen Gregory Galveston

I couldn't tell the difference between commas and periods so I tried my best to tell them apart.
