or Hospital stores to meet the exigency of the cases pouring in on me from all quarters. The relief I succeeded in extending has been to the less indigent of the Community. The able bodied for balance of wages for the last year, and mothers in a position to reach me to ask for children denied, and in some instances children torn from the breast. I am writing no fiction, and claim to be a mere matter of fact, practical man. The Lunatic, the blind, and lame, and [[halt?]] I have as yet done nothing for. Numbers of whom are daily applying for relief, and some few of the better disposed citizens report occasional cases whose necessities calls forth all the better feelings of human nature.

In lieu of the state of affairs, I have dared to manage for the establishment of an Hospital. For the successful carrying on of which I have consulted with and retained the services of a Physician, formerly of the U.S. Army, and a practitioner of eleven years standing in this Community, with some reputation as an accoucheur, and proficient as a practical surgeon. All of which I will submit at some future day for your inspection and approval.
