B.R.F.&A.L.(L.75)May/67. Office Sub-Ass't Com'r Bu R.F.&A.L. Jasper, Texas, April 29. 1867. Lowrie, James, S. A. Com'r. Reports his arrival at present station on the 26th inst. States; that called at Mr. Johnson's office at Woodville, & gave him all needed instructions. States further that turned over to Mr. Goddin all books & records pertaining to the office at Livingston, Polk Co, also giving him all necessary data of murders &c, commit'd in said Co, to enable him (Goddin) to make the required crimin'l report. Reports that had no trouble yet at his new station, but those men, [[strikethrough]] who [[/strikethrough]] he has seen, are decidedly unloyal in their feelings.
