been raised by me and have no inclination to leave me. It is my purpose however to return to Virginia this spring and I desire to take the children back to their friends, but as the expense attending their removal will be considerable I am unwilling to undertake it unless I have a guarantee that will insure their services after getting there, and you can readily perceive that, if left here without any friend or protection their situation would be a deplorable one.  With the suggestion that the Chief Justice, would make himself acquainted with all the facts of case and see that no fraud was commited, I will not trespass any longer upon your time.
