Sir - It is not my desire to trouble any one with unnecessary statements and inquiries and especially I would not intentionally increase the burthen of those whose time is filled up with the duties of Office so responsible as yours But I feel it a duty as a citizen of this County to say that a few circumstances and the conduct of a few individuals which might be taken as a correct idex to the feelings of the people of this County do not receive this approbation of a majority of our Citizens It is true we have a few discontented Spirits ever anxious to lead and dictate to the people ready to pursue any course which they consider to be to their pecuniary interest The first to make themselves known to the Authorities hangers on Courting favor and offering lip service to any power which may be in the ascindancy whether Confederate or Federal and without further investigation it might be infered, that these men are the
