I have the honor to respectfully request that Mr E.A. Metcalf may be suspended from his duties as clerk of this office and his final discharge be recommended to date from 31 July.

I have also to respectfully request that Mr A.B. Hall be recommended as clerk to date from August 1st, at a salary of Seventy Five Dollars per month. Mr Metcalf left us very suddenly on account of anticipated sickness and I have substituted Mr Hall in his place, subject to the pleasure of the Asst Comr.
