Dear Sir
I beg leave to recommend Mr L B Camp of Goliad as a suitable person to be appointed agent for the Freedmen in that section of the state, if you should be disposed to appoint a civilian. Mr Camp, has always been a thorough going Union man, and was a member of our late convention, in which body he uniformly voted with those, who were for giving the Freedmen the same civil rights as the white men have.
