Statement of Thos. Holliman, Freedman, Feby 23 1867, My name is Thos. Holliman. I was formerly owned by Mark Holliman, of Leon Co. Texas, I remained with Mr Holliman until Christmas 1865, when I went to Mr Cissno's and entered into agreement to work for him and manage his plantation in Leon Co, for which I was to receive one third of all that was raised upon his plantation, Mr Cissno to find every thing, All went on quietly, no one molested us. and I received my third of all the produce amounting to 690 Bushels of Corn and 6 Bales of Cotton, which was a good share, for 1866, About a week after Christmas 1866 I heard that some of the neighbors had tried to persuade some of the hands working with me on Mr Cissno's
