Sir:

The General Commanding directs that you immediately relieve the detail of the 38th U.S.C.T. now on duty at Office of Mr. W. H. Hiestand, Sub. Asst Comr. Bu. R. F. and A. Lands, at Hallettsville, Texas, by a detail from your own company; and order the soldiers of the 38th U.S.C.T. back to their proper command.

You will see that the men detailed by you for this duty, are subsisted in kind, to which end their rations will be drawn on Separate Returns, at the regular issue days. 

The permanent detail at present, at Hallettsville, consists of a Corporal and four men, which number must not be increased, without authority from these Headquarters.
