Sir,

By direction of the Commanding General, District of Texas, you will immediately detail from the troops under your command, a Non-Commissioned Officer and four privates, and order them to report for duty to Capt. A.B. Coggeshall, Sub. Asst. Commissioner, Bu.R.F. and A.L. at Bastrop Texas.

If practicable the men will be subsisted in kind, and to this end their Rations will be drawn on Separate Returns on the regular issue days. The soldiers must be picked men, and the Non-Commissioned Officer selected thoroughly competent and reliable.
