Mr. Wheelock against the convictions of right and duty entertained by the Association in this matter.

Balancing this question in the light of profit and loss, I do not think there can be but one conclusion, and here, I rest this portion of my letter.

I have made arrangements with the Association at New York, Rev's Dr. Whipple, Strieby, and Smith, to supply for the coming year, as many teachers as may be advantageously employed. They will be secured, and sent on in detachments of five and ten as may be necessary. The Association will pay the salaries, and the arrangements will be about the same as for last year.

The teachers will be duly estimated for by you in writing, the fact of a school building being ready for occupancy on the arrival of each teacher in the State, must be certified to.
