The plan observed by the Association in obtaining teachers is as follows.

The subject is earnestly and prayerfully presented to a church, and the people are asked to designate some one of their congregation to go in the capacity of a teacher; and to subscribe such an amount for the support and remuneration of such person elected, as they may be disposed; the Association from its general fund supplying any deficit, between the amount required and the sum donated. In this way the churches are intimately and powerfully connected with the missionary labor undertaken, and can be made to do more, than by any other system probably
