He entered into (so far as I could hear) no tale of personal grievances which I feared he might do, but only urged upon the Officers of the Association, the necessity of a more earnest effort in the cause the next year, as the work was promising throughout the State, and when the School houses were ready, he wanted to see the teachers in them, laboring faithfully for the education and elevation of the Freed children and adults, so far as it might be possible to bring them within school influences.

In conclusion, I pass now to the subject of School houses.

I promised the Association that 35 at least should be ready by October 1st, and 50 if possible.
